Nice Bag

I saw this bag and I said to myself 'finally a good design'. I don't remember where I saw it but ended up tracing it to Bottega Veneta. Besides being disapointed that the bag is 1400 I was happy to see Robert Longo provide campaign relief with his 'man in the city' series turned into photo shoots.

AGC on Time Out Chicago (Yes, we design spaces)

Here is a project that I desiged for Mr. Joshua Rogers. He wanted bookshelves and benches and a sense of warmth. The guidlines were that he wanted a warm feel, but with minimal 'stuff' surrounding him. I agree. You want a nice minimal home with warmth and nice objects, but you don't want to be consumed by tons of things in every corner (although Roger Brown has pulled that off rather well). With this in mind I worked with what the space had to offer and complimented the open space and wood to reflect existing characteristics. You can read about it and see pictures by clicking this link:

Good Design a look back

I was looking at these new speakers designed by Gramophone--they retail for around 82,000-87,000. The shape is stunning and reminded me of an older speaker that I sold here at AGC a while back. This is a good example how old design influences the new in a very good way. Albeit the new design has sound qualities far superior, the fundamental design is classic and timeless.

I love this thing!

I just upgraded to the Droid X. I must say that this is an incredible phone and I will also go as far as to say that I think it gives the iphone serious competition. The iphone 4 is pretty sexy looking and I think that is the only advantage. This phone is super fast, easy to use, has a 8 mega pixle camera along with hd video and many other features. I was waiting forever for iphone to come to verizon, but I am glad that I waited it out and got this instead. Just thought I would put this out there for those of you that are thinking about the droid phones. I highly recommend it. The only downside that I can see is that it uses lots of battery life rather quickly, but charges up fast when you need it. I have a charger in my car just in case I want to use gps or pandora while on the road.

Remember Me?

Hello folks. It has been a while since I have been on this thing. I have been here and there recovering from the old A-Team van that blew up in central PA in a dramatic tire explosion with gas leaking all over at the side of a mountain. I got back home fine while managing to have a surreal time. You know, you just gotta roll with it sometimes. I was also unaware that you can't take many bridges in NY when driving around a massive moving truck (I am glad that part of over)! Here is something to look at. I designed a nice four color 3D poster for AGC. When you put on the glasses it looks like you are looking into a recessed frame. I designed it on a whim but I am happy with the outcome. I will be handing these out at the Vintage Bizarre. I made a limited run of 100 posters on heavy card stock.

R.I.P A-Team Van

Yeah--so it was sooner or later that while I was driving through Pennsylvania this would happen. Here is an illustration of what happened that day to our beloved A-team van.

The Planter Project

Here is a shot of the DWR planter in space. We thought the wall colors played well with the planter and the architcture of the furniture.

Stuck in the head (thanks WGCI)

"I know way too many people here right now / That I didn’t know last year, who the fuck are y’all?" This song (by DRAKE) was playing on the radio when I drove to my brothers graduation (on heavy rotation on WGCI) and although it was absurd at first I think it has been growing on me. Yeah--the opening lyrics to this song make me laugh everytime.
